A structured opportunity should make the work, costs and payment conditions easier to understand. The word โ€œstructuredโ€ does not make income certain. Before joining a referral programme or paid learning offer, examine what you would actually do, which results qualify for payment and the resources you would need.

Define the activity before the income target

Write down the service you would introduce, the prospective customer and the steps required to make a useful referral. Ask which activities are permitted and which need approval. A realistic plan begins with the work rather than a headline earnings figure.

Understand the full cost

Review joining or training fees, communication expenses, transport, marketing materials and the time involved. Ask whether any payments are recurring and which services they purchase. Do not treat gross commission as profit. A simple record of costs and actual receipts gives you a clearer picture of the activity.

Read the qualifying conditions

Request current written terms covering eligible transactions, commission rates, verification, payment timing, reversals and termination. Ask what happens if a client cancels or the underlying service is not completed. Keep a record of the introduction and use the agreed reporting route; an informal promise can leave important conditions unclear.

Build a repeatable, responsible process

Learn the service information, seek permission before contacting prospects and follow up on relevant enquiries. Avoid unsupported income claims, pressure tactics or misleading descriptions. Review actual activity periodically and decide whether the costs and commitments still fit your circumstances. No programme can guarantee your personal earnings.

Make the next step an information request

Ask KAL for the current programme agreement and an explanation of how qualifying activity is recorded. Take time to review it before joining or paying. If an arrangement is an investment rather than payment for services or referrals, obtain independent advice and check the appropriate regulatory position.
